Echo University is dedicated to helping cardiologists and sonographers maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in echo/Doppler. Everything from the basics to the most advanced aspects of echo/Doppler and its current use in clinical practice is explored online.
Educational offerings include an extensive Image library containing dozens of illustrative cases coupled with in-depth discussion. Learning quizzes test your knowledge base on important topics then provides answers with comprehensive explanations. An online Lecture series is available 24/7 which contains all the essential information you need to know for maintaining competence in this rapidly evolving field. Echo Challenge presents images and asks you to form an impression before clicking on the correct diagnosis. Technology Update offers tips on how to take advantage of the latest technical advancements in echo/Doppler like strain imaging, 3D, and contrast echo.
Physician enrollees can receive a yearly maximum of 18 hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ for participating in online self-study.* Sonographers are eligible for up to 18 hours of CEU credits from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
In addition, for those who desire individualized intensive instruction, Echo U offers preceptorships by personal arrangement.
Echo U is a convenient and cost effective way for cardiologists to prepare for boards or for sonographers to use before taking a certifying examination. It also allows cardiologists and sonographers to maintain the dedicated echo CME requirement for ongoing ICAEL lab accreditation.
